Treosulfan for Injection 5 gm/vial is a sterile lyophilized powder used for intravenous administration. It contains 5 grams of Treosulfan, an alkylating agent commonly used in combination with other chemotherapeutic drugs as part of a conditioning regimen prior to allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT). Treosulfan exerts its anti-cancer effects by inducing DNA cross-linking, which interferes with DNA replication and cell division, ultimately leading to cell death. It has both myeloablative and immunosuppressive properties, making it suitable for patients undergoing transplantation, especially those with hematologic malignancies.
